PE clubs
We are excited to announce the launch of a new volleyball sports club on Tuesdays after school (Years 7, 8 and 9 every week 1 timetable and Years 10, 11 and Sixth Form every week 2). We also have pickleball and golf clubs starting in the summer term. More details on those clubs to follow! Details of all extra-curricular clubs can be found here on our website.

Susie wins Table Tennis title
Congratulations to Susie in Year 12 who has booked her place at the National School Table Tennis Finals by winning the U19 Warwickshire title last weekend! Well done Susie and good luck in the Finals!

Serena is Golden Girl Champion!
Congratulations to Serena in Year 11 who won gold and was crowned Golden Girl Champion in her weight category at the Golden Girl Championships held in Sweden last week. This is the world’s largest female boxing tournament and is an outstanding achievement. Well done Serena!

Sporting news round-up
Well done to Kieran in Year 11 who has been selected for the fourth year running to represent Warwickshire in the English Schools Cross Country Finals, following placing fourth at the recent highly contested Warwickshire Championships. Good luck at the Finals in March!
Congratulations to our U13 and U16 girls’ football teams who both won their recent indoor football tournaments. The U15 team play in their tournament next week.
Our Year 8 and 9 girls’ rugby teams celebrated their first rugby outing as a team this week with a gold medal, winning at a rugby festival!

Angad’s boxing debut
Congratulations to Angad in Year 8 who made his amateur boxing debut last week. Angad has been a member of the Leamington Community Boxing Club since the age of 7 so it was 6 long years of training finally being put to the test in the ring. Angad won two out of three rounds! Well done Angad!

Ali represents Warwickshire in national golf competition
Congratulations and good luck to Year 12 student Ali, who has been selected as part of the team to represent Warwickshire at the England Golf National Championships in August. Ali will be working hard on his golf until then, and will even be completing work experience with the professional team at Kenilworth Golf Club in the summer. Well done Ali and we look forward to hearing how you get on in August!

Fits a Knockout!
If your young person is keen on fitness and enjoys fitness exercises, then the team Fits a Knockout competition on Monday 20 January could be for them. We are looking for 6 girls and 6 boys to compete for the school in a series of relay team exercises, including squats, wall sits, shuttles, and plank style exercises.

Warwickshire Schools Cross Country competition
The annual Warwickshire Schools Cross Country competition takes place on the 18 January at Princethorpe College.
If your young person is a keen runner and would like to compete for the school (with a chance of being selected to run for Warwickshire) they should let Miss Cole [email protected] know by Tuesday 14 January.
