Congratulations to our Year 7 boys who won the regional basketball competition this week. The competition consisted of three league nights with the top two teams playing each other in a final. Myton came second in the league format so went through to play Campion School in the final. It was a very close final throughout the game but a game winning basket and extra free throw clinched the win in the final 30 seconds of the game. Well done!
Congratulations to Serena in Year 12 who became National Youth Champion last weekend at the England Boxing National Youth Open Class tournament, meaning that Serena is now a five times national champion! Next up for Serena is a competition in Thailand in March which would qualify her for the youth Olympics. Well done Serena, we are so proud of you!
A huge congratulations to our Sixth Form basketball team who have made it through to the last 16 in the national basketball league. They won their recent game against Shrewsbury with an amazing final score of 94-39! Well done to you all and good luck in the next round!
Year 12 student Serena has come home from the European Boxing U17 Championships in Germany with a bronze medal! This is on top of her previous achievements this year of being the number one boxer in her weight category in both England and Great Britain. And, she’s not done yet! Serena will be competing for her fifth national title later this month!

A massive congratulations to our PE stars of the half-term! These students have been chosen for their outstanding contributions, work ethic, progress and commitment to PE this half-term. Each student has received a certificate, chocolate bar, badge for their blazer as well as a prize draw entry for a £10 voucher. This half-term the voucher was won by Luke from Year 11. All students will also be included into a prize draw at the end of the year to win a paid for activity such as Ninja Warrior, Jump In or similar activity.

The badminton fixtures next half term are Wednesday 5 November, Year 10 against Trinity School and Thursday 20 November, Year 7 to 9 against Trinity School. If any student is interested in playing they can email Miss Cole.
Well done to Ali in Year 13 who recently won the U18 Regional Golf Championship at Kenilworth Golf Club. He has also been elected as Junior Club Captain for the club.
Myton’s PE department have gained the School Games Gold mark again for the fourth year running, through their engagement in the School Games competitions and sporting provision for students across Key Stage 3 and 4, including sports leadership opportunities and inclusivity.
