Dear Parents and Carers
This week we had the pleasure of celebrating the incredible talent, creativity and collaboration of young people across our Trust at the Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust Festival of Arts 2026.
Over two memorable days, students from all schools within the Trust came together to showcase their talents and demonstrate the important role that the arts play in education. The festival was a wonderful celebration of creativity, self-expression and teamwork, providing students with an opportunity to perform in front of live audiences and work alongside their peers from across the MAT.
We were especially proud of our Myton students, who delivered spectacular dance performances choreographed by the dance staff team. Their energy, commitment and professionalism on stage were truly impressive. Performing in front of an audience takes courage and confidence, and our students rose to the occasion brilliantly. The experience not only showcased their talents but also helped them develop valuable life skills, including resilience, confidence and communication.
The Festival of Arts perfectly reflects our belief that education extends far beyond the classroom. Opportunities such as these allow students to explore their creativity, build relationships, and develop a sense of belonging within the wider Trust community.
Today also saw students competing in the Stowe Valley MAT Athletics Championships. We are delighted to celebrate the success of our Year 8 team, who were crowned champions of their year group. This is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of their hard work, determination and team spirit.
While we celebrate this success, I would also like to recognise every student who represented Myton. They competed with great sportsmanship, honour and determination, demonstrating the high expectations and values that we are so proud of as a school. Whether on the track, field or supporting teammates, all of our students were excellent ambassadors for Myton.
Being part of the Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust provides our young people with unique opportunities to participate in events such as the Festival of Arts and Athletics Championships. These experiences complement our already extensive and memorable enrichment programme, allowing students to develop new skills, meet peers from other schools and create lasting memories.
Thank you to the staff who organised and supported these events and to our students for representing Myton with such pride. We look forward to many more opportunities for collaboration and celebration across the Trust in the future.
Kind Regards
Mrs Curtis
