What is a High Sheriff?
A High Sheriff is a Royal appointment in each county of England and Wales, serving a one-year term to support the Crown and uphold law and order within their county.
What is the competition?
The Young High Sheriff for a day competition (only open to Year 10 and 12 students) is a chance for a young person to work with the High Sheriff in Warwickshire and become the Young High Sheriff, raising awareness of a certain social/crime issue that they feel is important. They will be working with the High Sheriff, Warwickshire Police and the Police and Crime Commissioner, who will help them make their idea become a reality!
