Thank you and well done to all our students who supported or competed at our Sports Day this week at Edmondscote athletics track. Thank you also to all the staff who helped run the day and the families who came to watch. We had some great performances, personal bests and broken records!
Congratulations to the following record breakers:
Ava (Year 7) – girls’ javelin, throwing a distance of 21.70m to beat the 2015 record of 19.89m. Second placed Verity also beat that record with a throw of 21.47m.
Hannah (Year 9) – girls’ javelin, throwing a distance of 27.23m to beat the 2018 record of 25.59m.
Roman (Year 7) – boys’ 1500m, finishing with a time of 5.11 minutes to beat the 2007 record of 5.23 minutes.
Bruno (Year 7) – boys’ javelin, throwing a distance of 26.68m to beat the 2025 record of 23.71m.
George Smedley (Year 8) – boys’ javelin, throwing a distance of 33.43m to beat the 2007 record of 28.67m.
Suchit, Xavier, Vee and Jim (Year 9) – boys’ 4 x 100m relay, finishing with a time of 52.06 seconds, beating the 2017 record of 52.21 seconds.
Sports Day results and winners will be announced in rewards assemblies at the end of the year.
