Congratulations to Josh in Year 9 who has been selected to play for Hockey Mentors, a high performance programme for state school pupils from all over the country. Competition to be selected is very high and this is a brilliant accomplishment for Josh, who will benefit from England-level coaching. Josh has made an impressive start and was awarded male player of the camp at their most recent weekend camp. Well done Josh!

Sports Day
The sun was shining for our Sports Day at Edmondscote athletics track this week. Despite the heat we saw some great performances, personal bests and school records broken. We were even joined by ex-student and BBC Gladiator Karenjeet Kaur Bains who presented the medals to our track winners.
Thank you to all our students who supported or competed at the event, the staff who helped run the day, the families who came to watch and to Karenjeet for helping inspire our budding athletes!

County School Games girls’ football
Well done to both the U13 and U15 girls’ football teams who competed well in the Coventry, Warwickshire and School Games 5-a-side tournament last week. The U13s finished fourth and the U15s were third and also received the award for fair play.
Well done Tom!
Year 10 student Tom travelled to Croatia this week to represent England in an international tournament playing against the USA, Croatia, Morocco and France. Tom played in all four games and the England team topped their group. Unfortunately they lost their next game against France, but still put in a great performance. We are all so proud of Tom for this amazing achievement and look forward to hearing about more of his successes in the future. Congratulations Tom!

Warwickshire Track and Field Cup
Congratulations to the 50 students who represented Myton at the Warwickshire Track and Field Cup event in Rugby. Students competed in two different events (a combination of a track and a field event), and despite facing tough competition from many Warwickshire schools all our year groups finished in the top 6, with many students achieving personal best scores.
