Open water swimming
As the warm weather approaches, we remind students of the danger of swimming in open water.
The river in St Nicholas Park is particularly popular with young people for swimming and jumping off the bridge.
Please could you discuss the danger of swimming in open water with your young person, and highlight the risks involved in this activity, which include:

Warwick District Council are holding a Biodiversity Photography Competition with the theme of ‘all things bright, beautiful, great and small’.
The competition runs until Sunday 8 September.

Art & Photography departments gain OCR Ambassador Centre status
We are pleased to announce that our Art and Photography departments have been awarded Ambassador Centre status for OCR Art and Design qualifications. From September they will provide support and advice to a group of Art departments in schools from the wider Warwickshire/East Midlands area, host face to face events at Myton to share good practice in Art education and be more directly involved in assisting OCR to improve and develop its Art and Design qualifications.
Changes to Home to School Transport Applications
From September 2025, pupils in Warwickshire entering Reception or Year 7 who are eligible for home to school transport will automatically be contacted by the Home to School Transport Team to confirm their eligibility and the type of transport to be provided for the new school year. Families will not need to apply for home to school transport during key stage transitions.
