We have been advised of a recent ‘near miss’ outside school between a car and a student. Myton Road is particularly busy first thing in the morning so please can motorists drive safely and take care to help ensure our children are kept safe. Students should find a safe place to cross, always using a pedestrian crossing.

A reminder that if you witness a traffic offence (such as dangerous driving, using a mobile phone while driving, ignoring traffic lights) this can be reported (and digital footage submitted) to the Police via the Operation Snap portal, by dialling 101 (for non-emergencies), or by submitting a report online. The conduct and language of students, in school and out, reflects on them and us as a school and it is important that everyone in Myton uniform shows themselves to be kind, respectful and polite at all times.

Please reinforce this message to your child/children, particularly mentioning their conduct during their journeys to and from school.

We realise that the vast majority of Myton students behave very well at all times and are a credit to the school.
