Charity Week
Sixth Form are holding a Charity Week next week, with lots of whole school fundraising events taking place.
On Monday and Friday there will be a cake sale at lunch and break in the Upper School foyer.
On Wednesday Mr Griffin from the Sixth Form team will be having his hair dyed (outside the Sixth Form Café).
On Thursday a ‘pie a teacher’ event will take place at lunchtime in the amphitheatre.
Please note, if students are wanting to pie a teacher or make a purchase from the cake sale they must do so using cash or a bank card (they won’t be allowed to use their phones to do so).
All money raised will be split between the charities Sarcoma UK, Young Minds Matter, Oddballs and Kissing it Better.
Year 7 disco
Our first Year 7 disco ‘Midweek Mashup’ will take place on Wednesday 11 February, in the Upper School Hall from 6pm to 8pm.
A reminder that tickets are available to buy on ParentPay, and the deadline to purchase is 5pm Friday.
LRC National Year of Reading competition
The LRC are running a competition as part of the National Year of Reading. Students will receive a reward in return for completing an activity booklet (available from the LRC), using a minimum of three books. Please encourage your young person to get involved!
National Apprenticeship Week

Remind your children to come to the LRC next week and choose a wrapped book!
Jephson Gardens art exhibition
The art work of several Myton students will be exhibited at the Kitchen Table Art Club and Arise Education exhibition at Jephson Gardens from the 11 February to 8 March, as well as work by the actor David Bradley (Argus Filch from Harry Potter), who was taught by local artist, and art club owner, Lynne Gougeon. Entry is free, everyone is welcome, so come and be inspired!
Parent and carer ‘Understanding Apprenticeships’ webinar
Amazing Apprenticeships are holding a parent and carer webinar on the 9 February at 6.30pm on ‘Understanding Apprenticeships’.
Apprenticeships offer exciting and practical routes into rewarding careers. This session is designed to help parents and carers feel confident supporting the young people in their lives as they explore these options.
