The Sixth Form team would like to thank the 2025/6 Sixth Form Study Leadership Group for all of their hard work in supporting various charities throughout the year. They have put on many events and raised awareness across the school community, and have been nothing short of amazing, raising an incredible £4165 in total (£1942 specifically for Sarcoma UK in memory of Aaliyah Godfrey). The other charities supported are: Young Minds Matter; Oddballs; Kissing it Better; Children in Need; Red Nose Day and World Book Day. They have also raised an incredible £1308 to enhance their own leavers events!
Sarcoma UK has been our charity of the year in line with Aaliyah’s wish of “I never want to be forgotten”. In addition to the money raised by the Sixth Form Study Leadership Group, and Mr Griffin’s ‘mad hair’, £2773 was raised for Sarcoma UK at the staff panto at Christmas. You can still donate to Sarcoma UK via ParentPay and any donation will be very much appreciated.
We celebrated our amazing Leadership Group with a pizza lunch treat hosted by Mrs Voss on behalf of the Sixth Form Team. Mrs Voss cried early this year as they presented her with flowers, fizz and chocolate (very much appreciated!).
The Sixth Form team would like to wish them and all of Year 13 good luck for their futures and a very big thank you for all of their hard work and participation in events.
Finally, well done to the Aaliyah Day raffle prize winners:
Troy (7M4), Ajay (6M4), Josh (6M2) and Holly (6M6).
Thank you to everyone who took part, your prizes will be delivered to your form next week.
