When students return after this half term holiday they will be permitted to wear uniform-style shorts as part of their school uniform if they wish, instead of trousers or skirts.
These shorts must be plain black, tailored, straight fit school shorts which come to just above the knee. They must be of trouser material, and not tight fit, with standard pockets (not cargo style) and no logos. No sports shorts of any kind are permitted.
These shorts, which are available in uniform stores and our school stockists (and M&S, TU (Sainsbury’s) and other stores), are clearly marked as school shorts and are in the same style as school trousers. Only these trouser-style school shorts will be permitted.
All other aspects of the uniform policy remain the same. This means that students wearing shorts must ensure they are wearing socks which are plain black, grey or white with no sports logos. Shoes need to be worn with shorts (black, leather style with no sports logos). This means no Air Force Ones or trainers with bubbles in the sole, for example.
