Dear Parents and Carers
As the Spring Term comes to an end I wish you all a restful Easter break. I look forward to seeing those Year 11 and 13 students who are signed up to our sprint finish sessions during the holiday, and I hope they find the sessions valuable and productive.
I look forward to seeing all students back to school on Tuesday 14 April (Monday 13 April is an INSET day so school is closed to students), ready for the final term of the year. It will be a particularly pivotal term for our Year 10, 11 and 13 students undertaking exams. It is important that they work hard over the next few months -they should remain focussed and work on structuring an appropriate revision timetable. However, it is also essential that they rest, sleep and eat well, and take time for themselves to do the things they enjoy. And they should remember that exam results are only one measure of their success, which is determined not only by the marks they achieve, but also by the skills, character, growth, and resilience they have developed along the way at Myton.
I think this has been demonstrated wonderfully this week by those students who visited local care homes to deliver Easter eggs and daffodils, but also to take time to engage with residents – to chat and listen to their stories. The care homes have been full of praise for our polite, confident, cheerful and gracious students. These students have displayed our CARE values perfectly – values that help shape true success and growth.
Kind regards
Mrs Curtis
