Dear Parents and Carers
Spring has officially arrived at Myton this week, marked by a wonderful programme of Easter activities organised by our students to raise funds for Easter eggs and daffodils for local care homes. Throughout the week they have hosted cake sales, face painting, a film screening, Easter biscuit decorating and even “pie‑a‑teacher.” Thank you to everyone who took part and to all who generously donated Easter eggs. Our students will deliver the eggs and daffodils to care homes next week, helping to spread a little Easter cheer within our community.
Spring is my favourite season, and its sense of renewal resonates strongly as we welcomed our new Year 6 students into school immediately after completing our Year 11 interviews for Sixth Form. We have an incredibly ambitious cohort with aspirations ranging from aeronautical engineering and midwifery to astrophysics, sustainability and environmental sciences. With the daffodils now in bloom, it feels especially fitting to see our new intake bringing fresh energy while our Year 11s prepare to take their next steps as future change‑makers.
As always, Myton students continue to inspire us.
Kind regards
Mrs Curtis
