We held our Remembrance Day event this week in memory of those who have been affected by war around the world. This has now become an established event in our school calendar, allowing students to demonstrate our school’s key CARE values of being Community Minded, Aspirational, Respectful and Engaged. Students gathered around the front of the school to hear readings, poems and to see some of our fantastic students from the Army, Airforce and Fire Service Cadets parade to place the wreath at our flagpole. It was an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by others that have resulted in the lives and freedoms we all now enjoy. Thank you to the cadets, and to our Student Leadership Team for their readings from the balcony. This year we were also lucky enough to welcome two veterans from our community to the event: Mark Warner (Royal Navy) and Scott Caswell (Army and Police). Our thanks to them both for attending and for taking the time to talk to our cadets about their careers and experiences.
