The Myton School Student Law Society has once again raised the bar with a truly outstanding cheese and wine networking evening – an event that was not only professional and polished, but entirely student-run from start to finish.
Organised and led by the Student Law Society, the evening brought together aspiring young legal minds and a diverse range of professionals from across the legal sector. From judges and barristers to solicitors specialising in employment, construction, commercial law, and litigation – the lineup was nothing short of extraordinary. We were especially honoured to hear from a solicitor who qualified in Hong Kong, whose personal journey through the legal profession left a lasting impact on all in attendance.
What made this event particularly special was the fact that it was student-driven in every sense. From the initial planning stages to welcoming guests on the night, the Student Law Society demonstrated remarkable initiative, confidence, and professionalism. Their passion and commitment created an evening that was not only seamless and engaging but genuinely inspiring for everyone involved.
To the legal professionals who generously gave their time to attend – thank you. Your support, insight, and encouragement brought the world of law to life in a way no classroom ever could.
Events like this prove just how powerful student-led initiatives can be. They don’t just enrich learning – they help shape futures.
As their teacher, I couldn’t be prouder. Watching our students take ownership of such an ambitious and meaningful event was an absolute privilege.
A huge congratulations to the entire Student Law Society – what a brilliant achievement!
