Stowe Valley MAT Arts Festival 2026
A huge congratulations to our amazing Year 9 BTEC dancers and KS3 Dance Club for wowing audiences at the Belgrade Theatre this week as part of the Stowe Valley MAT Arts Festival. Your piece was incredibly moving, extremely well executed and your stage presence was fantastic!
Greenpower car races at Mallory Park
Myton’s greenpower car (which Mr Campbell and a group of Year 10 students have been working hard all year to build as part of the Greenpower Car project, run by the Greenpower Education Trust) raced at Mallory Park Racetrack last week.
Our car’s peak position in the races was 5th place, before our batteries died, meaning we finished 19th and 20th in the two races. It was still a great event though!

CCTV petition – St Nicholas Park
The local community has started a petition as part of their campaign for more CCTV cameras in St Nicholas Park. The petition can be found here.
Three Peaks Challenge
Three of our Year 12 students, Hugo, Olly and Joe are completing the Three Peaks Challenge (climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours) to raise money for the Kissing it Better. Here is the link to their Just Giving page if you would like to make a donation.

Parent Guide to Education are offering a free online event for parents and carers of students currently in Year 9 and 10, bringing together experts from across the education world to help support teens through their GCSEs, with practical, realistic advice that can be used at home.

Nathan crowned West Midlands Champion
Huge congratulations to Nathan in Year 7 who was crowned West Midlands Regional Champion in his age category (for the second year in a row) at the West Midlands Schools Regional Cycling Hill Climb Championship this week.
The event, run by the British Schools Cycling Association is held on a closed road, with riders representing their schools, The riders cycle time trial style up the steep hill (ranging from 5-15% elevation over a 1km course).
This is an amazing achievement Nathan, well done!

A selection of students competed at the Stowe Valley MAT Athletics Championships this week at Southam College.
PE Sports Cultures Week
For the final two weeks of term, the PE department will be running ‘Sports Cultures Week’ as an extension of this week’s Horizons Week. In PE lessons students will be playing sports from different cultures from around the world that they have never had the experience of playing before (hopefully). They will be taught about the origins and history of the sport as well as playing them competitively! Sports on offer will include Tchoukball, Spikeball and Sepak Tawraw, amongst others.
