Mrs Johnson’s Year 7 English class have been learning about the traditional Japanese poetry form, haiku.
These haiku were inspired by a Vincent van Gogh painting. See if you can work out which one by reading the poems:
‘Once a blazing moon,
Burning through the dead of night.
A shadow appears.’
‘Sky of vibrant swirls,
illuminates yet dark. The
tower is alone.’
‘Spirals of the wind,
The dark tower standing tall,
Overlooks the town.’

And these were inspired by a Banksy piece. Can you guess which one?
‘The love of the world,
sadly stretched out of her reach,
as her tears swept by.’
‘Letting go of love,
Still hoping you will be found,
maybe giving up’
‘Vaguely remembers,
the sight of her family,
home feels so far.’
