On Thursday this week, we held an academic taster day for our prospective Year 12 students. Due to Covid restrictions, we had to hold this online instead of onsite, but we made the best of it and as always Myton staff and students rose to the occasion.
Over 200 students (both from Myton and other schools across the county and beyond) took part in the day and had the opportunity to have a ‘taste’ of their chosen subjects and hear about life in the Sixth Form. Students also heard about the summer work which they need to complete before they start sixth form and which can be located here: Transition work for Year 11 into Year 12 – Myton School
Head of Sixth Form, Ms Stevens, said: “As always, our current Sixth Form students were excellent ambassadors and enthusiastically promoted the Sixth Form in relation to study skills, opportunities, dress code and even by teaching a taster lesson! Thank you to all the staff, teaching and admin, who helped get this day off the ground and to all those who took part. We hope it was a useful and informative day.”
