We are aware of some incidents that have recently occurred within the local community, involving young people. One incident included the theft of a child’s mobile phone.
The safety and wellbeing of our pupils is always our highest priority. In response to these concerns, the school has taken proactive steps to work closely with our local Community Safety Team and local PCSOs. They have increased their presence along Myton Road and in nearby parks, particularly at times when children and families are more likely to be present, such as the end of the school day.
We continue to monitor the situation carefully and are maintaining regular communication with relevant agencies to ensure appropriate support and reassurance for our school community. In school, we are also reinforcing key safety messages with pupils, and reporting anything that makes them feel worried or unsafe.
We would encourage parents and carers to continue speaking with their children about personal safety and to remain vigilant when travelling to and from school.
Should you have any concerns, or if you feel there is information the school should be aware of, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will, as always, keep families informed of any further updates.
Thank you for your continued support.
