Myton took over 50 students to the Street Dance competition held at King’s High on Wednesday 5 December. This was the highest number of students from any school in the area and Myton had 9 different teams competing in both set piece and freestyle categories across both key stages.
The students behaved impeccably and performed very well achieving several accolades:
- Elijah Layton won the Key Stage 3 freestyle choreography section.
- Aimee and Amelia Cox won the Key Stage 4 freestyle choreography section.
All three will now go onto the County Finals early next year.
In addition:
- The Key Stage 4 set piece dancers were runners up.
- And a Key Stage 3 choreography group took third place.
Well done to all the students involved and thank you to Liz England who has been teaching the students every Friday after school.
