We all know that keeping active is important for your health and wellbeing. As it is Mental Health Awareness Week, Miss Cole wanted to share with us all what staff have been doing to keep themselves active throughout this time.
Mr Hibbard has been completing 5km runs most days and then bike rides with his son.
Mrs Bird started to do ‘PE with Joe’ from day 1 and has done every session since (that’s 8 weeks). In her words: “It is a positive start to the day. I’ve started to go on bike rides with my husband and my two little girls now on the weekends which has sadly made me realise I should have done this exercise malarkey a long time ago.”
Mrs Johnson has also become a Joe Wicks big fan and if she misses a workout in the week she completes the session at the weekend. She has yet to do the workouts in fancy dress though!
Miss Cole has also been exercising with Joe Wicks as well as taking part in the virtual School Games challenges and spending most days either running or cycling around the countryside. It is a great way to relax and keep fit.
She has taking part in a few virtual running challenges including the 2.6 challenge. Setting realistic goals and achieving them is important for your motivation.
Mrs Mercer has also been taking part in the 2.6 challenge, raising money for Asthma UK by completing 26 Les Mills on demand, body combat workouts over a period of two weeks.
Mr Garner has been following a specially designed circuit routine that he sets his junior rowers and has even completed a half marathon run as part of this circuit plan.
Miss Brown has been enjoying long walks in the evenings, taking time away from the computer screen to enjoy nature.
