We have received serious concerns from local residents regarding illegal and unsafe parking on Myton Lane during school pick-up times.

Please be reminded that parking, waiting, or stopping on double yellow lines is illegal. Myton Lane is a critical access route for the hospice and hospital, and blocking this road can prevent emergency vehicles from reaching patients. This is not only against the law but also poses a significant risk to safety.

We have been informed of incidents where residents were unable to leave their properties and where ambulances were delayed due to vehicles parked illegally.

We ask all parents/carers to:

• Avoid parking on Myton Lane at any time.
• Use designated parking areas or make alternative arrangements for pick-up.
• Show courtesy and respect to residents and emergency services.

Failure to comply may result in enforcement action by the police and local authorities, who have been notified of these concerns.
