Havelberg, Germany has been named as this year’s international destination for EuroCamp 2026, an annual initiative that brings together 20 young people from Warwick and its European twin and friendship towns for two weeks of adventure and a creative project. EuroCamp 2026 will run for two weeks from Monday 20 to Saturday 31 July 2026 (inclusive).
Organised by Warwick Town Council and its twin towns, applications are now open to find the four young people, aged between 16 and 21, to represent Warwick. The four will become ambassadors for Warwick and will travel to Havelberg for Eurocamp 2026.
This opportunity allows the ambassadors to learn key skills, while completing a variety of community work and gaining excellent experience for any CV or UCAS application. During Eurocamp the group will be part of a nature conservation project in partnership with Haus der Flüsse, Havelberg, the biosphere reserve. Called ‘Nature Experience and Nature Conservation’, the project is intended to create, construct and plant habitats suitable for native reptiles.
This project is fully funded via Warwick Town Council and our twin towns, there will be no costs for the ambassadors (apart from spending money). Eurocamp 2026 will be made up of participants from Saumur, Verden, Formigine, Havelberg and Warwick.
Councillor Dave Skinner, Chair of Community and Culture said, “Eurocamp is a unique opportunity for young people in Warwick to step outside their comfort zone, experience a different culture and represent our town on an international stage. The friendships, confidence and practical skills gained during the two week stay with participants will remain long after they return home. We strongly encourage eligible young people to apply and make the most of this fully funded opportunity. Previous Eurocamp participants have been positive ambassadors for Warwick and made value friendships while taking part in a fun community project.”
To take part in EuroCamp 2026, applicants must live in Warwick with a CV34 postcode.
Application forms to participate are now available from the Town Council here, by emailing [email protected], or by telephoning 01926 411694. The closing date for applications is Monday 13 April 2026.
