Dear Parents and Carers
We have a very strong Art Department here at Myton. I’m sure you will have noticed the impressive artwork that is on display all around school. Visitors to school invariably comment on it and it even got a mention in our latest Ofsted report.
Our GCSE students have now completed their exams and I wanted to share with you some of their work, which I’m sure you’ll agree is truly outstanding. Each year we enter a number of pieces in the Art Exhibition which takes place at St Mary’s Church in Warwick. This exhibition is part of the Warwick Schools’ Arts Festival and features work from a number of local schools. Historically we do very well when it comes to the awarding of prizes and we are hoping that this year will be no exception.
I’d recommend you go along to see it for yourself. It features artwork from our students in Year 7 up to Year 11. It is free of charge and is on from Friday 15 June until Sunday 1 July 2018. Opening hours are Monday – Saturday from 10am to 4.30pm and Sundays from 12.30pm to 4.30pm with the last entry at 4pm. We are very proud of the students’ wonderful work and it would be great if you could visit the exhibition.
