Teacher of Design Technology (Food with an ability to teach Textiles)

From Easter or September 2020

At Myton our culture is to nurture your professional needs by providing opportunities for a bespoke training programme to support you through your career.  The department is extremely well resourced and the projects that students complete is never compromised.  As a strong department, we embrace challenge and thrive on seeing our students engaged and happy in their lessons, resulting in success for them and for our teachers.  We are seeking a subject specialist with strong subject knowledge in Food (Textiles is a desirable additional subject area), enthusiasm and a creative approach to teaching and learning.  The ability to teach across the D&T curriculum at KS3 and 4 would be desirable but most importantly is a passion for teaching the subject, and the knowledge and personal qualities to inspire our students.

We welcome applications from experienced colleagues as well as NQTs looking to secure a role after training and we can provide outstanding induction and support from our strong team of Lead Practitioners and our well established training programmes.  Whether you are looking for a full or part time opportunity, we would welcome your application.

We are committed to excellent CPD opportunities which reflect our emphasis on training, support and career development and we see this as a key element in enabling our staff to achieve their goals and ambitions.
