The Leamington art exhibition earlier in the year, featuring work by Year 13 students, was a huge success.
Local artist, Lynne Gougeon, who organised the opportunity for the Sixth Form students, said there was great feedback about the Myton artwork from visitors and Leamington Studio Artists’ volunteers .
“Everyone was impressed at the high standard and many people commented that the show was so positive, colourful and a lovely mix of work from all ages,” said Lynne. One volunteer said it was “a breath of fresh air” and “just what everyone needed”.
She said Izzy, Molly and Jacob (pictured) were “an absolute pleasure to work with and very talented. I think they really enjoyed organising their exhibition and having their work up on show”.
On one Saturday at the Jephson Gardens venue, there was a private view for Myton students, their families and teachers with the entire Art department turning up to support them. According to Lynne, who is a Myton parent, there was a fabulous atmosphere.
Well done Izzy, Molly and Jacob!
