Athletics
Last week saw 67 students from Myton take part in ThinkActive’s virtual athletics competition, the first of four competitions taking place. Students competed in two athletics challenges: standing long jump and shuttle runs covering 100 metres. They were competing against all the schools in Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire and Myton finished just outside the top 3 schools participating.
Several students achieved top 3 places, with Rebecca winning the KS4 value award and Isaac and Will finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively in the KS4 competition. Here are the top 3 students in years 7-10 in the Myton competition:
Cricket
This week has been the Cricket competition and students have been involved in Wall Clap and a Ball Blast challenges. The Results from this are announced at 5pm Friday on the Think Active website.
Tennis
After half term, on Monday 1 June the tennis competition will start. Here are the details: Secondary Tennis Final
Our PE department will be sending out the competition details on SMHW for the Core PE students to do at home.
There are prizes for the top 3 competitors and for the most represented school and certificates for all involved. Who knows, you could also be in the Myton School top 3, receiving medals too. So why not have a go? You can adapt what you use if you don’t have a racket.
