Free outward bound courses for Year 12 students who live within the CV34 area are being funded by the Warwick Apprenticing Charities (WAC) this summer. The WAC helps fund students who wish to pursue fantastic opportunities provided by the Outward Bound Trust:
Five-day Basecamp – aimed at complete outdoor pursuits novices
13-15 years: 15 – 19 August @ Howtown – three places (bus from Penrith)
16-17 years: 13 – 17 August @ Aberdovey – four places (bus from Birmingham)
Seven-day Ridge – for students with a little knowledge of outdoor activities (such as Scouts)
13-15 years: 18 – 24 July @ Ullswater – four places (bus from Penrith)
16-17 years: 25 – 31 July @ Aberdovey – six places (bus from Birmingham)
16-17 years: 20 – 26 August @ Aberdovey – four places (bus from Birmingham)
14-day Summit – for more experienced students:
13-15 years: 6 – 19 August @ Ogwen Cottage – four places (bus from Manchester)
16-17 years: 23 July – 5 August @ Ogwen Cottage – four places (bus from Manchester)
