A new computer games coding club is being launched after half term for Myton Year 7s and their siblings at primary school.
The new Ofsted Computing Review has highlighted a need to improve the quality of teaching in primary schools because most don’t have a computer specialist like secondary schools. There is also a drive to encourage more girls to take an interest.
The Myton Computing Department is trying to close the knowledge gap so that if students wish to learn how to code computer games there is an opportunity to do so. This exciting new club is aimed at children aged 8-12 years and will be held on Thursdays between 5.30pm and 7pm in the Computer Department. More details to follow and Mrs Buxton, Head of Computing, can be contacted on [email protected]
