This year’s Holocaust Memorial Day – Wednesday 27 January – was a bit different from usual. Instead of a public event, the Mayor of Warwick, Cllr Terry Morris read a poem on video and laid a wreath. You can watch a video of both on the Warwick Town Council website.
Warwick has held this event since 2002 when the day was established internationally. It is a time to remember the millions of people murdered during the Holocaust under Nazi persecution and in genocides which followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.Click here to return to the current newsletter
