On Thursday 11 July we had a visit from Mandip Englund (nee Sansoy) who was Head Girl at Myton between 1997-98 and is now a Partner in Reed Smith, one of the largest law firms in the City of London.
Mandip spent an hour with our Year 12 Politics students, explaining her journey from Myton Sixth Form into the legal profession. This shared experience was welcomed by the students, a number of whom are considering a career in law. In particular, she stressed the need to have a goal in life which should be pursued with determination, while keeping a balanced perspective on wider aspects of life, such as personal happiness and family values. It was really helpful for the students to listen to Mandip’s reflections as, 21 years ago, she would have been sitting where they were and studying politics as one of her A levels!
