We’ve been asked by the Re-Start a Heart initiative to share with as many people as possible the message that CPR can save lives. If you don’t know how to do CPR, they’ve produced a short video showing how it can be done:
Over 68,000 people suffer cardiac arrests outside of hospital in the UK every year. If this happens in front of a bystander who starts CPR immediately before the arrival of the ambulance, the patient’s chances of survival doubles.
As you may know, we have two defibrillators in school: one near Student Support and another in the PE Foyer. St John Ambulance have produced a video explaining how to use one.
