Dear Parents & Carers
Today is the last day of formal lessons for Year 13 (although there are plenty of additional classes scheduled for after half term). As ever, the time they have been with us goes so quickly, and it has been a privilege for all of us here at Myton to see them change from the little children, hurrying around the school with oversized blazers and bags, to the young adults they have become. Whatever the next step is for them, we wish them well.
Congratulations to Helen Bridge who has been appointed Head Teacher of Kineton High School starting in September. Helen has been with us for 12 years, as Head of English, Assistant Head and, for the last seven years, Deputy Head. Throughout this time, and in all her roles, Helen has made a big difference to the students we serve. Many of the most positive points raised by Ofsted at our inspection last term were ideas and initiatives led by her which have improved the learning throughout the school. All of us here at Myton, but especially me, will miss her when she moves on to Headship, but we are delighted for her and wish her, and Kineton High School, every success.
With best wishes
Andy Perry – Head Teacher
