Dear parents and carers
Today we say goodbye to some of our colleagues.
Tracy Moore in the Sixth Form cafe is moving on to a more senior position at another school and I thank her for her great work. She has provided a lot of support and a friendly face to our sixth formers who will really miss her. We also say goodbye to Ian Cook from the Geography department who has secured a position at the Environment Agency. We wish him well.
From Student Support, Jayne Carter is retiring. Jayne has worked here for 15 years and has looked after the students who are injured or ill, chased them up about attendance and has been, along with Mrs Adkins, the ‘go-to’ person for all students in our school. Also retiring is Ann Barry, PA to the Head and Clerk to the Governors. Ann has worked at Myton for 16 years and been PA to 5 head teachers. She is the recognised font of all knowledge in the school and I would like to extend my personal thanks and best wishes to her as someone who has benefited from her advice, knowledge and unflappable nature over the few months I have had this job.
Finally we say goodbye to Claire Round after 33 years of committed service to Myton School. Claire has displayed an incredible show of loyalty, and on behalf of everybody here, all students past and present, we wish her well in her retirement. She will be spending time focusing on her family but hopefully will be back to work with us at some time later in the year.
To all our colleagues we wish them well in their new adventures and look forward to catching up with them when we can.
