The Smallpeice Trust hosted another successful STEM event with Year 9 students this week.
Students were tasked with designing and building a bridge which could hold 10kg. The day saw students become Civil Engineers, Marketing Managers, Project Managers, Finance Managers and Safety Leads.
Many of the designs took inspiration from well known bridges such as the Golden Gate Bridge or the Mathematical Bridge.
The winning team’s bridge managed to hold 24kg before breaking.
It was great to see some budding future Engineers in action!
