Our Year 9 students who are taking part in the Warwickshire Book Awards got together this week with a visitor from the School Libraries Service to discuss the books they have read. It was a very lively discussion, with the students debating everything from plot and character to themes and historical context. They have all read the following books:

• One by Sarah Crossan
• Maladapted by Richard Kurti
• Anna and the Swallow Man by Gavriel Savit
• Orbiting Jupiter by Gary D. Schmidt

The students will go on to vote for their favourite book on the shortlist and will then attend an award ceremony where they will get to meet the authors. If anyone would like to read the shortlisted books, they are available to borrow from the LRC.
