On Monday 9 July we took a group of Year 7 & 8 students to visit local employer Tata Technologies based in Leamington Spa.
The students took part in several workshops including the science behind car design and a Parachute Egg Challenge where they had to design a parachute to see if eggs could survive being launched off a balcony. Working in teams, everyone got so egg-cited to see who would win, and the winning team managed to keep the shell intact. The students had a great time and got to spend some quality time with a range of staff who shared their personal journeys and their specific roles at Tata.
Sarah Sheawuo from Tata said “All of our employees involved in the day commented on how impressed they were with the students’ attitude to learning and their enthusiasm. They were engaging in good conversations and interacted with one another extremely well. They all participated in each activity with a great energy and were willing to learn something new. I wish them all the best in their future studies!”
