During the summer term Mr Hobbs’ Year 7 science class wrote letters to MPs about the illegal wildlife trade. We have had a number of responses, including one from Mark Field MP, Minister of State for Asia and the Pacific, singling out four students in particular – Harriett Roebuck, Damien Brown, Finley Smith-Kirk and Rhys Mendez (pictured with Mr Hobbs) – for the quality of their letters.
Mr Field was pleased to see our students showing an interest in this issue, commenting: “It is vital that the younger generation is aware of the impact this terrible crime is having on the world’s wildlife so that we can all work together to protect endangered species that are on the brink of extinction.”
Well done to all those students who took part. You can download Mr Field’s letter in full here.
