One of our school governors, David Witham, a local Chartered Accountant, is standing down in September after almost 8 years of service to the school and we therefore have a vacancy for someone with financial expertise to sit on our board of governors.
The governors at Myton School play a key role in the leadership of the school, working together with the staff to ensure the school continues to provide an enriching and rewarding environment, where all the students feel fully supported.
As a school governor, you’re expected to commit to a minimum of four full governors’ meetings and six committee meetings each year. Governors are invited to join one or two committees which they feel they can add value to. The role of the governing body is fully supported by the school leadership team and staff.
If you feel you can bring financial expertise and direction to the board of governors please contact Mrs J Bishop, Clerk to Governors on 01926 405684 or via email [email protected].
David Witham would be more than happy to have an informal conversation with you if you are interested in learning more about this opportunity. This can be arranged by contacting Mrs Bishop by telephone or email.
