As part of our work to improve the school grounds and encourage the students to engage with the outdoor environment, we are teaming up with the local charity Evelyn’s Gift to create a school allotment and wildlife area with a pond.
On Wednesday 5 July a 50-strong team of staff from Jaguar Land Rover are coming into school to help us with the landscaping of the area and Travis Perkins are also supporting us with equipment and supplies. The Friends of Myton School have kindly donated picnic benches for the area and Evelyn’s Gift are donating a shed.
We are very keen to add to the area with planting. If you would be willing to donate a small amount to enable us to buy seeds, aquatic and marginal plants and fruit trees and bushes we have set up a fundraising page.
Many thanks to all those people who are helping us with this project, but special thanks to the Smith family for all the good things they achieve through their charity Evelyn’s Gift.
