Please can we once again ask you to speak to your children about being safe and considerate when cycling and walking to and from school. We are receiving numerous reports of students crossing in front of cars without looking and being abusive to road users. Please discuss this with your children especially regarding stopping at junctions and wearing headphones, which may mean they are unaware of traffic noises. Students should also not be acting in a dangerous manner i.e. pushing friends near the road as this may result in a serious accident.
Parking at pickup time is another safety issue. Neighbours have been in touch re parents parking inconsiderately and blocking their drives whilst waiting for their children. Please park away from school and ask your child to walk a short distance to your car. Please remember that this is a residential area and parking should be as per the high way code.
