On Saturday 21st November the Inter Boys Swimming Team, traveled down to the London Aquatics Centre, Olympic Park to compete in the National Schools Relay Finals.
They qualified for this prestigious event, having achieved a time at the Midlands Finals, which saw them in the top 30 schools in the country.
All the boys swam brilliantly and finished 18th in the Medley Relay and 13th in the Freestyle Relay, achieving personal bests in each relay. They missed out on a place in the final by just over a second.
This is the first time that a Myton School team have competed in the National Swimming Finals since 2001, so the boys have performed excellently to achieve this result.
It was a memorable day for all involved, the boys did themselves, their families who supported, and the school proud and had a great experience.
Well done to Aran Shuttlewood, Ben Court, Ed Jolly and Ronnie Harvey!
