Congratulations to all the students who represented Mid Warwickshire in the Warwickshire Athletics Championships on Saturday 9 June. The athletes performed very well with many achieving top 3 results in the competition.
- Alex Spurway set a 300m championship record and will compete this weekend for Warwickshire at the Inter Counties Mason Trophy Championships.
- Gabriel Ball won the 200m and was 2nd in the shot putt. He will also compete this weekend.
- Matthew Ashbourne won the shot putt and has also been selected for Warwickshire.
- Cian McKeaney became the Inter boys 1500m champion.
- Lauren Ashbourne became the Senior girls Javelin and Discus champion.
- Sophie Hunt became the Senior girls Hammer and Shot champion.
- Faith Tooze was 3rd in the Junior girls long jump.
- Abbie Blick was 3rd in the Inter girls shot and discus.
- Jack Bower was 3rd in the Junior boys long jump.
- Maddie Smith was 4th in the Junior girls javelin.
- Tia Norton was 4th in the Inter girls javelin.
- Abby Jolley was 4th in the Inter girls high jump and 200m.
- Grace Fairweather was 4th in the Inter girls long jump and 5th in the 100m.
- Ben Makinson was 6th in the Inter boys 100m.
- Ian Aghoghogbe was 6th in the Inter boys triple jump.
This was a very successful championship for the area with the junior team winning and the inter team finishing runners up in Warwickshire. Well done to all the students who represented themselves, the school and area.
