Myton students, Thomas White, Samuel White and Kyle Jackson went to St Nicholas’ Park Leisure Centre last week to represent the school in the County Boccia Tournament.
The Myton team started off well, winning 4-1 against a local school. The next game was a close call but they also won. The last game saw them at their best, winning 6-0!
With this terrific performance. The team won the tournament and are through to the Regional Championships.
“My highlight,” said Samuel, “was the fact that even though I hadn’t practised for a while, I still won!”
Thomas said, “My highlight was working as a team and together we won!”
Kyle agreed, “I liked that we all had a go and it was a bonus that we won.”
“The team represented the school brilliantly,” said Mr Simmons from Myton’s PE department, “They showed sportsmanlike qualities and impeccable behaviour.”
