We hosted a farewell tea party in school on Wednesday 29 March to celebrate Claire Round’s 33 years of commitment and dedication to the school. During her time at Myton, Claire held many and various roles as Head of Girls’ PE, Head of Year and Special Needs Coordinator. Her list of achievements is as long as it is impressive and includes securing funding for our all-weather pitch, being part of the team who created the John Atkinson Sports Hall, providing support and encouragement to our students with special needs, and making our Development Centre the warm and welcoming place it is today.

It was a pleasure to welcome back former colleagues who worked with Claire over the years and get together to remember her time at Myton. She will be sorely missed by all of us here, but now has her hands full as a grandma to baby Freya and is clearly enjoying spending her well-earned retirement with her family.
