Nikit Sajiv in Year 8 has continued his recent success in table tennis by picking up a Division 3 winners’ medal in the Junior British League at the weekend.
Representing Lillington Table Tennis Club, in what is the top team competition in the country, Nikit and the team had positioned themselves in second place after the first weekend of competition back in September. Over the course of the concluding weekend they managed to remain unbeaten, recording five wins and one draw, which was enough to see them pip their closest rivals, Formby, to the title.
Nikit, at just thirteen years of age, is ranked 31st in the National Under 15 list and was competing against players as old as eighteen in the competition. Over the two weekends of competition, Nikit won a very impressive 14 out of 19 individual matches.
