We were privileged to welcome established local author, Lauren James into school on Wednesday 6 March. Lauren, who has a degree in Chemistry and Physics from the University of Nottingham, started writing during her English lessons whilst at secondary school. Her books have sold over 50,000 copies in the UK alone and have been translated into five languages. She gave an inspiring talk about her writing to groups of students from Years 7 to 9 and explained how scientific research has inspired her novels.
