Arrow Valley Country Park near Redditch was the venue for the final of the national inter club orienteering competition – the Yvette Baker Trophy. The team of 26 young and enthusiastic juniors ranging from 7 to 17 years competed on some challenging orienteering courses around the park and wooded areas and for many it was their first-time racing for the club at this level.
Josie Smart in Year 8 was part of the Octavian Droobers team who finished 4th in the National Junior Clubs competition. Josie regularly competes in the Park Run series on a Saturday morning and has completed over 50 x 5K Park Runs in Leamington Spa. This has obviously helped her with her orienteering achievements.
