On Wednesday 29 November we held an after-school Horrible Histories event for students in Years 7 and 8 in the library. Our school librarians Mrs Thomson and Mrs Drage transformed the library into a Horrible Histories-themed world, filled with gore, rats, knights, monarchs, castles, dungeons and Viking ships.
Henry VIII (Mr Town) delivered a quiz and the following students were in the winning team: Harry Oldridge (03), Callum Sharman (M4), Oscar Heggs (02) and Rajan Bratch (B4). They all won 4 tickets each to Warwick Castle who generously donated the prize!
The two winners of the wordsearch puzzles were: Priyan Sanghera (G10) and Oscar Heggs (02) who each won a Horrible Histories 25th anniversary yearbook.
The winner of the prize draw from the ‘Borrowing Books’ competition was Samuel Heydon (B12) who received a £10 gift voucher redeemable at Warwick Books.
Huge thanks to Mrs Thompson and Mrs Drage for creating another wonderful library event, to the members of staff who joined in, and well done to all the students who threw themselves into the activities with such enthusiasm.
