Parents & carers are advised to keep an eye out for head lice and nits, as this is a common problem affecting school-aged children and their families.

Though head lice and nits may be a nuisance, they don’t cause serious illness or carry any diseases and can be treated at home with a fine tooth comb or over-the-counter medication. See the NHS website for more details.
