When your child starts at Myton you automatically become a member of the PTA, the Friends of Myton School (FOMS). Anyone from the school community can be an active member of the Friends; parents new and old, grandparents, governors and friends.
Your support and contributions are greatly appreciated by helping with volunteering and fundraising.
FOMS’ most recent contributions include £1,000 to SEND trips, £1,000 for self esteem workshops, £1,000 for sixth form PCs in the LRC, Oracy workshops for Year 8.
FOMS supports the school and wider community. For example, selling refreshments at shows and concerts is a responsibility of the ‘Friends’ which serves to make the events more enjoyable and sociable occasions.
How you can make a difference
The Friends can make a REAL difference to the learning and teaching environment for our students. However, your on-going support is needed to ensure the Friends can continue to contribute. If you can help in any way please contact the committee via firstname.lastname@example.org or go to the FOMS website.
Did you know that FOMS runs a pre-loved uniform shop? There are regular sales – keep an eye on the Weekly News for dates. If you would like to take a look at the stock of logoed uniform, please email email@example.com.
Any donations of unwanted uniform in good condition can be handed in to Main Reception.
Please read the minutes of recent meetings and stay up-to-date on the FOMS website.
